Operation PAR CEO Dr. Dianne Clarke appointed to National Addiction Treatment Panel

Dr. Clarke selected to serve on the SAMHSA Center for Substance Abuse Treatment National Advisory Council

PINELLAS PARK, Florida – Operation PAR, Inc., Chief Executive Officer Dianne Clarke, PhD has accepted an appointment to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) National Advisory Council.

Dr. Clarke is one of 12 council members appointed by U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra to advise the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment on ways to promote high-quality, effective treatment and recovery services while improving access and reducing barriers.

With over 40 years of experience in substance use disorder treatment, Dr. Clarke is well poised to add valuable treatment and recovery insight to this council. As one of the original individuals to be certified as an Addiction Professional in Florida, she has experience in all phases of substance use treatment for both adolescents and adults including detoxification, residential treatment, and all levels of outpatient treatment to include medication assisted treatment. Dr. Clarke is also the very first individual certified by the Florida Certification Board as a Telehealth Practitioner.

As Co-Chair of the Pinellas County Opiate Task Force Dr. Clarke is instrumental in fighting for legislation and improvements to combat the opioid crisis on a local level. Her involvement as an Executive Board Member of both the Florida Behavior Health Association and the Florida Juvenile Justice Association allow her to continue to advocate at the state and national levels.

A consummate addiction professional, Dr. Clarke is pleased to have this opportunity to continue uplifting the cause of substance use disorder on a national level. She said, “I am honored to have been chosen as a member of this council and I look forward to being part of the important national dialogue surrounding substance use in our nation.”
