Residents oppose boat storage re-development

The Tierra Verde Hi and Dry owners, Greenleaf plan to more than DOUBLE the boat storage warehouse to 711 dry slips. This will be the 2nd LARGEST BOAT STORAGE in the USA.

This would negatively impact traffic going to and from Tierra Verde, Isla Del Sol, SPB, Treasure Island and Pinellas Bayway Residents. Making traffic congestion even worse than it is now. We do not need this. Residents are furious that this would even be considered in a residential area that is already congested.

The monstrosity developers propose would endanger our grass flats and sits less than a mile from the Pinellas National Wildlife Refuge, home to nesting birds, dolphins and manatees. The noise, traffic and pollution would cause great harm to residents and wildlife.

This is simply too big for the community.

Residents are organized and will appear in opposition at the DNC hearing on December 3rd to make our concerns known. All residents are urged to email our Pinellas Commissioners kpeters@pinellas.gov and voice your concerns. Or, mayor@stpete.org
Let them know you are concerned.

Respectfully,
Paul Lee
