The Southside Fresh Market, a Market with a Mission. We are a year-round farmers market located in South St Petersburg FL, in the middle of ​7 Low-Income Low Access food-insecure census tracts that facilitates the sale of healthy food, offer free business and food safety compliance assistance to local vendors, and community engagement through the arts, nutrition & garden education. “My friend and I started this market last April with nothing more than our stimulus checks, it’s a great honor to be a finalist in this competition,” Ramona said. The market is currently open 11-5 on Sundays but will be expanding in October to a permanent location offering longer hours and open more days. The market accepts food stamps, SNAP/EBT and offers online ordering and delivery in some areas. Award winners will be determined by popular vote. Voting is open to the public from Monday, August 30, 2021, to Friday, October 1, 2021. Winners will be announced during the 9th Annual Good ‘Burger Awards on Thursday, October 28, 2021.
