SPCC Celebrates 100th edition of New Year’s Invitational

Jan.2-4, 2026 marks the 100th anniversary of the New Year’s Invitational at St Petersburg Country Club. This historic amateur golf tourney boasts a roster of PGA professionals as past champions and participants including Hayden Buckley, Brandt Snedeker, JB Holmes, Bob Goalby, Jason Dufner, Bob Murphy, Bob Tway, Gary Koch, Jeff Overton, Rocco Mediate and many more. The public are welcome to spectate on competition days – free admission.

This year’s field includes future stars such as John Daly II, son of PGA professional John Daly; Reed Greyserman, younger brother of PGA Professional Max Greyserman, Princeton Sophomore; October’s Ivy League Golfer of the Month; winner of the 2025 St Andrews Collegiate Challenge and winner of the 2025 Florida State Amateur Championship; Parker Severs, UF Gator Freshman from Lakewood Ranch, hoping to contribute to the NCAA defending championship UF team; and even high-schooler Chase Bauer, a Windermere Prep sophomore who won the 2025 Florida State Junior Tourney (Boys 16-18) with a record-breaking low score in 2nd round. Catch them all at the event starting 11 a.m. Jan 2nd.
