The SPIRITS of St. Petersburg and B. Stark Art Studios are pleased to present the Perfectly Proper Pop Up Paranormal Museum. This exhibit, made possible by a grant awarded by the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance and the City of St. Petersburg’s Office of Cultural Affairs, features works by local artists depicting locations linked to supernatural activity around the Tampa Bay area. In conjunction with the art, the SPIRITS of St. Petersburg are providing short QR links that lead to videos, articles, and artist interviews discussing various elements of the lore and legends on each location. Some of the exhibit also contains information about ghost hunting. Artwork is for sale and attendees may also vote for their favorite piece. The SPIRITS of St. Petersburg has copies of their book, Supernatural Saint Petersburg and Paranormal Pinellas, available for purchase, along with tarot cards from the Tarot Project, featuring 78 works by Florida artists.
Brandy Stark, the coordinator of the event, founder of the SPIRITS of St Petersburg, a paranormalist with 25 years of academic and investigative research, and a local artist known for her wire works, will be present to talk with interested individuals about her experience. The public is also welcome to bring in images, video, or audio clips that may contain supernatural captures for review.
The exhibit is located in B. Stark Art Studio, #208, in ArtLofts, the second floor of Florida Craftart. The studio is open for Second Saturday Art Walks, Saturdays 12 – 4, and by appointment.
