St. Petersburg Press author, David C. Edmonds, honored with International Latino Book Award
Los Angeles, CA, September 12, 2020–THE INTERNATIONAL LATINO BOOK AWARDS, a program of Empowering Latino Futures (ELF), presented Tarpon Springs author, Dr. David C. Edmonds, an award in the category of Best Novel: Adventure or Drama, for his novel, FLAMENCO IN THE TIME OF MOONSHINE AND MOBSTERS (St. Petersburg Press, 2020). Flamenco in the story of a young flamenco dancer on the run from gangsters, corrupt officials, and J. Edgar Hoover’s G-men in Tampa’s Ybor City Latin district during the prohibition year 1932. Awards presenters were Mexican actor Edward James Olmos and Eva Longoria of Desperate Housewives.
