Sarasota, FL. July 5, 2022. For the sixth consecutive year, Habitat for Humanity South Sarasota County Inc. is the recipient of a $5,000 grant from State Farm to help build affordable homes in South Sarasota County.

“We greatly appreciate the continued generosity of State Farm.” said Christina McCauley, CEO of Habitat SSC. “Over the past several years, they have become a solid community partner and we are excited to partner with them again.”

Habitat and State Farm have built a partnership with the common goal to build safer, stronger, better educated communities. Through community development grants and volunteerism, State Farm reinvests in the communities they serve as a way of giving back and helping to strengthen neighborhoods. The State Farm’s Good Neighbor Grants focus on three areas: safety, education, and community development.

“This grant embodies the spirit of what our company has been about for the last 100 years, about giving back and being a good neighbor,” said Jose Soto, State Farm Corporate Responsibility Analyst. “We are excited to continue supporting Habitat for Humanity of South Sarasota efforts to help build affordable homes in our community.”

Habitat for Humanity South Sarasota County, Inc. operates as an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Habitat SSC has made great strides towards its mission to build safe, affordable housing for those in need in south Sarasota County. This year, they celebrate their 30th anniversary. Without the help of charitable sponsors, like State Farm, Habitat SSC could not accomplish their goal of providing safe, affordable, energy efficient homes.
