Tampa Bay Bank Veteran Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

Rita Lowman, St Petersburg resident and 45 year banking veteran was honored at the Florida Bankers Association Annual Meeting held this week in Miami, with the Lifetime Achievement Award. A trailblazer in the industry, Rita retired as President of Pilot Bank. Rita served as Chair in 2018 of the Florida Bankers Association and 2019-2021 served on the American Bankers Association Executive Committee. The recipient of numerous awards including Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Business Woman of the Year; Girl Scouts Woman of Distinction, Chamber of Commerce Business Leader of the Year and the Guy King Mental Health Champion Award. Last month Sheriff Chad Chronister and the Hillsborough Sheriff’s Department honored Rita with their Lifetime Achievement Award for her mental health and substance abuse awareness work. She is also known for her work with the American Cancer Society where her years chairing Cattle Barons Bar and Making Strides brought in over $2.5million.
Rita currently serves as the CEO of her family’s company HooperWill Group LLC. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Caldwell Trust Company, Encore Bank and ReliaQuest Bowl.
