The Hub and CALL Come Together To Host Back to School Carnival in Support of Local Families

St. Petersburg, Fla., July 20, 2026 — The Hub and The Community Assistance and Life Liaison program (CALL) are hosting a Back to School Carnival on July 25 at The Hub in St. Petersburg, providing games, activities, and resources to support families preparing for the new school year.

The event aims to bring the community together in a welcoming environment, providing backpack giveaways, face painting, prizes, and connections to local resources. It is designed to reduce barriers to support and strengthen neighborhood connections.

“This event is more than a celebration of a new school year. It is an investment in our community,” said Heather Loychik, Director of Crisis Intervention Programs at Gulf Coast JFCS. “By bringing together resources, services, and family-friendly activities in one welcoming space, CALL and The Hub are helping reduce barriers to support, strengthen neighborhood connections, and remind residents that compassionate care is available close to home.”

Families and community members are encouraged to attend the Back to School Carnival on July 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Hub, 3372 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, for a day of fun, giveaways, and access to valuable community resources.
