St. Petersburg, FL — St. Petersburg Press invites sports fans, book lovers, and storytelling enthusiasts to an evening where sports and literature collide. Typing One for the Team: Where Sports and Storytelling Meet will take place on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 6:30 PM at the iconic Ferg’s Sports Bar & Grill, located at 1320 Central Avenue in downtown St. Petersburg.
The event will showcase the unique voices of three celebrated local authors who bring their own perspectives on sports, life, and the power of storytelling:

Mike Nabors, Emmy Award-winning journalist, sportscaster, and author of Don’t Quit, Pivot

Bruce Reynolds, 16-year veteran Tropicana Field Fan Host and author of There Is No Place Like Dome
Attendees will enjoy engaging conversations, personal stories, and insights that connect the worlds of athletics and writing. Books will be available for purchase, and those who register in advance will receive a $5 coupon toward their book purchase at the event.
Ferg’s Sports Bar & Grill will have its full food and drink menu available for sale, so guests are encouraged to come hungry and make it a night of food, fun, and fantastic storytelling.
