Lists for groceries to tracking upcoming meetings can get scattered and lost across multiple apps – this was a frustration faced by Parker Klein, who has created a one-stop source.

Klein, who was studying at Vanderbilt University and worked at an early startup in California, would write down his thoughts and notes on various platforms, creating an unstructured chaotic mess.

“I thought there had to be a way to release these thoughts and get reminders of meetings all in one place,” he said.

Klein, who later went on to join Google as a software engineer, still had the intentions looming in the back of his head of designing a one-in-all notetaking platform.

It was when he met his business partner Joe Steilberg at a tech conference in Austin that the vision turned into more of a reality. Steilberg had a background in real estate and resonated with Klein’s frustrations with messy notetaking apps. The pair then decided to collaborate and bootstrap Twos, an app that condenses lists and thoughts all into one place – and Tampa became the launch site.

“I came here for a job in private equity, and I didn’t know anybody in Tampa. All I knew was that I loved the East Coast and I started packing my bag,” Steilberg said after making the initial integration into Tampa.

Meanwhile, Klein had the flexibility of moving as he was still working remotely for Google at the time. He left Google to focus on Twos.

Twos is now a member of Tampa Bay Wave and Embarc Collective.

“Embarc has been so helpful, and we have been able to use our app every single day to see how it can be improved,” Steilberg said.

The pair said they are still working on enhancing the app, which has gone live. One of the ideas is to incorporate the voice command Siri technology into the notetaking app.

The app has easy navigation to search for certain keywords and dates. The notes and lists can also be shared privately and on social media.

While Twos continues to improve, the co-founders said they will seek investments for either a pre-seed or an entire seed round in the near future.
