Every day, we’re sharing what we’re reading, watching, doing and listening to … the things that bring levity to our own lives. We’ll also share random things we’re talking about, laughing about and smiling about on social media, in pop culture and beyond. We encourage you to share your daily sources of levity with us in the comments or on social media.

Today…

Local vendor brings shops together to create a local pantry box

Katie of Katie’s Fine Cookies (@katiesfinecookies) brought together dozens of local businesses to create a pantry box filled with treasures. Proceeds from the pantry box go directly back to the local makers, and Katie just takes a small $9 care fee for coordination. It’s the perfect gift and the perfect way to support small local businesses, complete with goodies like:

  • Sourdough bread – Gulf Coast Sourdough
  • A half dozen eggs – Trailbale Farm
  • Local Florida honey – Queen & Colony Bee Company
  • Fresh local greens – Green n Things Urban Farm, Meacham Urban Farm
  • A bottled cocktail – Intermezzo Coffee & Cocktails
  • Fresh bottled orange juice – Intermezzo Coffee & Cocktails
  • Donuts & pastries – Valhalla Bakery
  • A gift card – Bodega
  • Coffee beans – Bandit Coffee
  • A handmade mask – Renita Sullivan
  • Cookies! – Katie’s Fine Cookies

The pantry box has sold out for this round, but keep a look out for future orders!

THE DAY HAS COME! Website is FULLY LOADED! Community Pantry Boxes (100% of EARNED FUNDS go each respective business!), cookies, edible cookie dough. Please read the informational snippet at the top of the ordering page on my website. It highlights different ordering dates, cut-off times, and so on. In the Community Pantry Box: SOURDOUGH BREAD, HALF DOZEN EGGS, FLORIDA HONEY, 3 LARGE BUNDLES OF GREENS, BOTTLED COCKTAIL, BOTTLED FRESH ORANGE JUICE, TWO DONUTS, ONE SAVORY PASTRY, BODEGA GIFT CARD, A HANDMADE MASK BY MY EMPLOYEE & DEAR FRIEND RENITA, A BAG OF WHOLE BEAN COFFEE, A BLACK CROW SCREENPRINTED TOTE, AND A HALF DOZEN KATIE COOKIES! EVERY BUSINESS RECEIVES 100% RETAIL VALUE AS THEY HAND OVER THEIR PRODUCTS! This time, I am adding a nominal fee to the top of each box’s cost ($9, which is less than 10%) to cover the time, organization, coordination, and small costs (printing, bags, etc.) This project is a LOT of effort. Emails, questions, labor. This allows me to be compensated a bit for the initiation of this project. Thank you for understanding! Thank you for the flyer help, @sarahsiroky! GO ORDER SOME GOODIES!
