All Children’s receives $7.5 million to fight cancer

November 3, 2025 - St. Petersburg-based Johns Hopkins Hospital has received a $7.5 million state grant to advance pediatric cancer research and care throughout Florida. The funding will support those efforts at the hospital's Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute and stems from the Florida Cancer Connect Collaborative Research Incubator Grant program. The five-year initiative, championed by the governor and his wife, could provide up to $37.5 million in funding to All Children's and three other pediatric hospitals.
