Amazon plans 750 jobs at new fulfillment center in Temple Terrace

August 5, 2020 - Amazon said it will open a 600,000-square-foot fulfillment center in Temple Terrace. The center, expected to open in 2021, will create 750 new, full-time jobs, Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) said in a news release. Some employees at the site will pick, pack and ship smaller customer items such as books, electronics, small household goods and toys, while others will work in human resources, operations management, safety, security, finance and information technology. In addition, Amazon is planning a new delivery station in Lutz that will power Amazon’s last-mile delivery capabilities to speed up deliveries for customers in Pasco County. The delivery station also is expected to open next year.
