AquaVenture raises fresh capital, makes a buy

July 16, 2019 - AquaVenture Holdings (Nasdaq: WAAS), a Tampa water services company, raised about $79.6 million before expenses in a public offering The company sold 4.1 million ordinary shares at a public offering price of $16.88 per share, and underwriters exercised an option to buy another 615,000 ordinary shares, a news release said. AquaVenture operates desalination and wastewater treatment plants through its Seven Seas Water operating segment and  provides filtered water to institutional and commercial customers through its Quench segment. Quench separately announced it bought Carolina Pure Water Systems, a point-of-use water filtration company based in Raleigh, North Carolina.
