Asbury Automotive furloughs 243 in Tampa-St. Pete area
April 20, 2020 - Asbury Automotive Group Inc. has furloughed employees at locations around Florida, including in the Tampa-St. Petersburg area. The "sudden and unexpected circumstances" brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic adversely affected business operations, Asbury (NYSE: ABG), an Atlanta-based vehicle sales company, said in a WARN notice to the state. The company expects the furloughs to be temporary.
