City to begin the final hurricane debris pickup

December 27, 2024 - In the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the City of St. Petersburg has been actively working to tackle an unprecedented amount of storm-related debris. So far, the City reports picking up more than two million cubic yards of debris. The City will make its final cleanup sweep beginning Friday, Jan. 3, 2025. Residents with debris that is not eligible for removal will be notified with a door hanger and a letter stating the reason.
