Construction kicks off for three-story food hall on Central Avenue
November 15, 2021 - Construction has started for a new three-story food hall at 551 Central Ave. in downtown St. Petersburg. A ceremonial groundbreaking was held Monday for the food hall at the site of the Woolworth building. The food hall, dubbed Central Park St. Pete Food Hall, is being developed by Hi Hospitality Group, which owns the Speaks Clam Bar and Kojo. The food hall is expected to open by the end of next year. It will also have a basement that will become a high-end speakeasy bar.
