Construction to impact downtown Clearwater, beach traffic
January 12, 2026 - The City of Clearwater will close three of four westbound traffic lanes on Court Street, from South Prospect Avenue to South Garden Avenue, for approximately two weeks, starting Jan. 19. According to the announcement, the closure is "necessary to repair and replace various failing sanitary sewer manholes." Motorists traveling to the downtown core and toward Clearwater Beach can expect "heavy traffic congestion and long wait times."
