County water system maintenance to begin May 18

May 5, 2026 - Pinellas County Utilities will change its water disinfection process and use chlorine from May 18 through June 6. According to a prepared statement, "drinking water may smell or taste slightly different but there will be no impact to water pressure or service." The disinfection process is semiannually changed to improve water quality and "minimize the potential" for water system issues. For more information, visit this link.
