Craftsman House Gallery owner announces its closure
November 6, 2025 - Jeff Schorr, who's owned and operated the Craftsman House Gallery since 2001, has sold the historic building in the Grand Central District, and is closing the gallery, cafe and retail store. Schorr, who plans to continue promoting concerts in town, made the announcement Thursday on social media. He and longtime girlfriend Chrissy Auger had been "searching for the right buyer - someone who would not only appreciate the unique character of this historic space, but also honor its place in the St. Pete community. We explored opportunities with numerous local businesses, including breweries, restaurants, and retailers ... and turned down multiple offers from outside developers wanting to tear the building down." It will remain open "for a month or so ... or until all the art is gone."
