Derrick Brooks takes C-level role with USF Athletics
October 30, 2025 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend and Hall of Famer Derick Brooks will serve as chief operating officer for the University of South Florida's Athletics Department. CEO of Athletics Rob Higgins and Brooks were part of a group that brought Super Bowl LV to Tampa in February 2021. Brooks previously served as executive vice president of corporate and community development for Vinik Sports Group, founded a charitable foundation and a collegiate high school and sits on several area boards.
