Downtown St. Pete street closes for Pier construction

July 19, 2019 - As part of the new St. Pete Pier development, 2nd Avenue Northeast between Beach Drive and Bayshore Drive will be closed to thru traffic starting July 22. The closure is expected to last about six months. This work includes substantial reconstruction and drainage improvements. Beach Drive and Bayshore Drive will still be accessible for northbound and southbound traffic flow. The intersections of Beach Drive and Bayshore Drive at 2nd Avenue will be converted to all-way-stop intersections. The City Marina, Museum of History and Frescos will remain open throughout Pier construction.
