Duke Energy Florida president receives ‘Glass Ceiling’ award
July 3, 2019 - Catherine Stempien, president of Duke Energy Florida, received the 2019 Glass Ceiling Award as part of the Florida Business & Professional Women’s Club’s 100th anniversary conference. The award is given to a woman who has achieved a role previously barred to working women. Stempien received the honor because she is the first woman president of an organization that’s been providing power to Florida for 120 years, said Jerri Evans, BPW’s state president.
