Duke plans to lower rates in January 2025

September 5, 2024 - St. Petersburg-based Duke Energy Florida announced Thursday that it requested approval to lower residential rates by roughly 6% in January 2025. If approved by the Florida Public Service Commission, typical customers using 1,000 kilowatt-hours will see a $9.77 monthly decrease. Duke pledged to improve reliability, security and resilience despite the rate cuts.
