Evara Health receives $2M to help address Black maternal health crisis

June 5, 2023 - U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor and leadership from Evara Health, formerly the Community Health Centers of Pinellas, announced today that $2 million in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will go toward confronting the Black maternal health crisis. The funding will help improve health outcomes for patients at high risk for maternal morbidity and mortality. While awards were made across the country totaling more than $65 million, Evara was the sole Florida awardee.
