Fire forces closure of Masonite plant in California
April 24, 2019 - Masonite International (NYSE: DOOR) said it will not reopen a cut-stock facility in Stockton, in central California, after the plant was severely damaged in a fire. About 120 workers at the plant fabricated wood for production of doors, Recordnet.com reported. Masonite, a Tampa-based manufacturer, said in a news release that it will help workers find new employment opportunities. The company expects to ramp up production at two other cut-stock plants.
