Florida is top state for fraud
February 28, 2019 - A new report from the Federal Trade Commission says there were more fraud complaints in Florida than any other state in 2018. Among the top 50 metros, Tampa-St. Pete ranked No. 14, with 748 fraud complaints per 100,000 persons. The local area was No. 26 for identity theft complaints, with 157 complaints per 100,000 persons.
