Health department steps up effort to vaccinate homebound residents

April 26, 2021 - The Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County has bolstered its campaign to provide Covid-19 vaccines to whoever wants them by partnering with several local organizations that are vaccinating homebound people in underserved parts of the county. According to a news release, Pinellas County Urban League, Infinity Consultants, Tech House and the Foundation for a Healthy St. Pete are assisting the DOH-Pinellas effort to reach people who face social, economic or transportation barriers to getting the vaccine. Homebound residents can email HomeboundVaccine@em.myflorida.com to request a Covid-19 vaccine appointment. According to the latest DOH-Pinellas update, 407,354 Pinellas County residents had received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.
