Johns Hopkins All Children’s boosts operating income

February 14, 2020 - Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital had $2.2 million in operating income for the three months ended Dec. 31, the second quarter of its fiscal year. That’s up 59 percent from the same period a year ago, when the St. Petersburg pediatric hospital had $1.4 million in operating income. JHACH reported total operating revenue of $132.5 million for Q2 2020, down slightly from $133.4 million in operating revenue a year ago. The hospital has been under scrutiny following a series of reports that documented high death rates in its pediatric cardiology program. It paid $804,000 in a settlement with state regulators and remains under a corrective action plan with federal regulators until June 29, in order to ensure its improvements are sustainable and systemic, according to a filing by parent company Johns Hopkins Health System Corp.
