Large tree falls on St. Pete preschool
December 15, 2022 - Severe weather from a passing cold front uprooted several large trees in St. Petersburg Thursday afternoon. Lt. Garth Swingle reported that St. Petersburg Fire Rescue responded to calls for trees down on houses along 9th Avenue North, between 58th Street and 49th Street. According to the release, one fell on a preschool attached to St. Vincent’s Episcopal Church. The building was unoccupied and no injuries were reported.
