Miller’s Ale House furloughs 2,300+ Florida workers, including in St. Petersburg

April 25, 2020 - Miller's Ale House has furloughed workers at 30 restaurants throughout Florida, including five restaurants in the Tampa-St. Petersburg area. The Orlando-based chain cited the extreme business conditions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and said the furloughs are expected to be temporary. Throughout Florida, about 2,355 workers were impacted, according to Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notifications sent to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity as of Friday. The local Miller's Ale House restaurants and number of workers impacted are: St. Petersburg (56 workers), Seminole (79), Tampa on West Columbus Drive (58), Tampa on East Fowler Avenue (101), and Brandon (65).
