Missing boaters found alive off Clearwater coast
November 25, 2025 - Clearwater police announced Tuesday morning that the U.S. Coast Guard found four boaters who were reported missing Monday evening. The four Polk County men launched their 25-foot power catamaran from the Seminole Street Boat Ramp at about 9:30 a.m. Monday did not return from their offshore fishing trip. The Coast Guard found the men alive and their capsized boat, which lacked a radio, about 26 miles off the coast.
