Pinellas County tallies 22 new Covid-19 deaths

July 23, 2020 - For only the second time since the Covid-19 outbreak began, Pinellas County has had more than 20 Covid-19 deaths in a single day. The Florida Department of Health reported 22 new deaths on Thursday, the second-largest single-day jump in deaths in the county. On July 14, there were 26 deaths reported in a single day. As of Thursday, there have been a total of 364 deaths in Pinellas County and 14,374 total cases, an increase of 180 cases since Wednesday. There's been 286 total new cases on average per day over the past seven days and the rate of people testing positive has averaged 8.2 percent in the past week.
