Police write 200-plus citations for drivers speeding on Gandy
November 8, 2023 - Law enforcement handed out 223 citations and 156 warnings during a speeding crackdown along Gandy Boulevard over the weekend, according to a Facebook post from the St. Petersburg Police Department. Most citations were given to drivers traveling 20 to 30 miles per hour over the speed limit. The crackdown is part of an ongoing multi-agency effort to address street racing and speeding along the span between Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.
