PSTA approves purchase of SunRunner buses
May 24, 2023 - During a Wednesday board meeting, the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority approved a $3.12 million purchase agreement to acquire three additional SunRunner buses. The new three 40-foot hybrid electric buses will be provided by the Gillig Corporation, a manufacturer PSTA has an existing relationship with. PSTA will receive the new buses by next spring. Since launching last year, PSTA's SunRunner has carried 635,000 passengers.
