Rays have an All-Star game starter, Home Run Derby hitter
July 10, 2025 - Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Junior Caminero will participate in the Home Run Derby and start for the American League's All-Star team next week in Atlanta. The respective showcases are Monday, July 14, and Tuesday, July 15. Caminero became the starter when Boston's Alex Bregman, a reserve, and Cleveland's Jose Ramirez, the fan-elected starter, withdrew due to injury.
