Real estate investor purchases another Salt Creek property
August 12, 2025 - Clearwater-based Prometheus Properties has purchased a 24,500-square-foot art deco-style building on 1.37 acres at 1499 Beach Dr. SE, near Salt Creek, for $6 million. The real estate investment firm now owns nearly 12 acres of predominantly marine-focused property in the Old Southeast neighborhood. The latest acquisition currently houses the Salt Creek Arts Center and the moving company Swift Moves. Some stakeholders worry that unabated redevelopment in the area will alter St. Petersburg's dynamics.
