Recommendation for USF interim president announced

July 26, 2021 - University of South Florida Board of Trustees Chair Will Weatherford announced his recommendation of Rhea Law to serve as USF interim president, following the recent resignation of President Steve Currall. Law is a former BOT chair and USF alumna. After graduating from USF, Law received her terminal degree in law at Stetson University College of Law. She is a founding member of the USF Board of Trustees and the first and only female chair. She also served on the Presidential Search Committee during USF's previous two presidential searches. The BOT will hold a special meeting Aug. 2 to vote on the recommendation, which will be pending Board of Governors approval at its meeting Aug. 31. Law said she will not apply for the permanent president position.
