San Francisco firm buys Tampa cybersecurity company
December 13, 2019 - Opswat, a San Francisco firm focused on critical infrastructure cybersecurity, will establish an east coast hub in Tampa, after buying Impulse, a cybersecurity company. Financial terms were not disclosed. Opswat said in a news release that it will absorb and integrate Impulse’s products and teams, and plans to expand its footprint in Tampa with additional engineering, IT, and customer service talent in 2020 and beyond. Impulse was founded by serial entrepreneur David Robinson in 2004 to address faced by businesses of managing network access across endpoint devices.
