St. Pete Beach mayor proposes toll for tourists
November 7, 2025 - Mayor Adrian Petrila proposed implementing tolls at the north, central and southern access points to St. Pete Beach at a meeting Monday, as the city struggles to address infrastructure issues exacerbated by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. He would exempt business owners, employees and residents from paying to enter or exit the barrier island. City commissioners expressed a willingness to conduct a feasibility study.
