St. Pete murder victim identified after 45 years

February 13, 2026 - A "John Doe" in a St. Petersburg murder case has been identified after 45 years, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department. Johnny Bradshaw, who was staying at the Siesta Motel, was shot in April 1980. The victim was exhumed in 2010 in an unsuccessful attempt to identify him. In 2023, bone samples were sent to Othram Labs - which created a full DNA profile. This led to the discovery of his identity.
