St. Pete police officer arrested for domestic battery

February 17, 2026 - St. Petersburg Police Department officer Curtis Wright was arrested Feb. 16 by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office on a domestic battery charge. He is currently on parental leave until March 6. Once Wright's court proceedings are completed, an investigation will take place. No further details about the charge were released.
