St. Pete wins grant to support pet-friendly initiatives
July 1, 2019 - St. Petersburg was the large city winner in Better Cities for Pets, a Mars Petcare program, in partnership with the U.S. Conference of Mayors. The city won a $30,000 grant to build a green space, complete with a hydration station and waste space amenities. The city will also be able to upgrade its existing dog-friendly parks, updating signage and providing information on how to maintain a thriving, pet-friendly community, a news release said.
