St. Petersburg issues record number of permits
February 23, 2023 - City data shows that building officials issued 36,800 permits in FY2022, which brought in $9.3 million in revenue and equates to $1.3 billion in construction value. That set a new record, as Mayor Ken Welch noted during his Jan. 30 State of the City address. A building official told Spectrum Bay News 9 that the city could reach $1 billion in construction value again this fiscal year.
