
St. Petersburg organizations receive climate resilience business grant
February 22, 2024 - The U.S. Department of Commerce and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced Tuesday that Tampa Bay Wave was among 16 business accelerators to receive a combined $3.9 million in grants. The St. Petersburg-based organization received $250,000, the highest amount awarded in the first phase, to help advance companies and products that address climate resilience. The money will help launch the Tampa Bay Wave, Innovation District and the University of South Florida St. Petersburg's “Catching the Blue Wave: Accelerating America’s Ocean Economy” initiative.
