St. Pete’s The Blend files for bankruptcy
November 6, 2025 - The Blend, a St. Petersburg-based coffee and cocktail bar with eight locations, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization Tuesday. According to the filing, the popular and fast-growing establishment encountered multiple hurdles that delayed the opening of three additional locations, straining finances and impeding its ability to repay debts. Founder Stacha Madsen launched the company in 2006 and opened the first St. Petersburg location in 2019 after relocating from Seattle.
