Tampa Bay area gets new water restriction due to dry season
February 10, 2026 - The Southwest Florida Water Management District has released a Phase II Water Shortage Order for Pinellas County and other local municipalities due to "below average rainfall and declining water supply," according to the County's website. Homeowners can now only water their lawns one day a week until summer. Pinellas County Utilities will abide by the restriction as well - which went into effect Sunday. To learn more, visit this link.
