Tampa Bay earns a top spot in cities for tech worker relocations
June 7, 2021 - Tampa Bay is emerging as one of the top destinations for technology job relocations. In a newly released LinkedIn study, Tampa Bay was ranked No.6 out of 35 metros. The rankings are based on the metros with gross tech migration of at least 2,000 LinkedIn users within the last year. Tampa Bay had roughly 128 employees per every 10,000 LinkedIn users relocate to the region from May 2020 through April 2021, according to the study. Tampa Bay outperformed its sister metros Orlando and Miami. The ranking also puts Tampa Bay next to competing tech destinations such as Las Vegas, Seattle and Dallas-Fort Worth. Austin, Texas, earned the top spot.
