Tampa company wins $10K Cade Prize

May 21, 2019 - Path Optical Systems Inc. in Tampa won the $10,000 third place Cade Prize in an annual competition by the Cade Museum for Creativity & Innovation in Gainesville. Path Optical has small and affordable fiber optics that transport information at the speed of light. The $25,000 first place award went to Anchor Biologics in Gainesville. Capacitech Energy in Orlando placed second and got $15,000. The prize, which celebrates celebrate pre-seed and seed stage innovations, is named for Dr. Richard Cade, the University of Florida physician who led the team that invented Gatorade.
